The Human Rights Foundation is a charitable foundation that promotes and protects human rights on a global scale. In addition to his work with the Human Rights Foundation, Thor is the founder of the Oslo Freedom Forum. The forum is a group of dedicated advocates who devote their time to advocate for Human Rights around the globe. The forum is an annual event for advocates to gather and discuss the human rights needs around the world. During the forum, experts and leaders participate in conversations and presentations that aim to help change people’s perception of the world and encourage free expression. Together they work on ways to expand human rights and freedoms around the globe.

In addition to his human rights advocacy, Thor is a filmmaker. His films and documentaries attempt to highlight the struggles, plights, and human rights problems of people around the world. One such film that he produced is “Hammer & Tickle.” The movie is about the power of humor, ridicule, and satire as a way to spread the truth under Soviet tyranny. In the absence of free speech, it demonstrates how jokes become a code for a system for resistance and help with the disconnect between propaganda and the reality of the world. The film won Best New Documentary at the Zurich Film Festival.
