Luiz Carlos Trabuco, President Of Bradesco

Mr. Luiz Carlos Trabuco was born, raised, and attended school in Marilla, Brazil. He graduated with a postgraduate degree and Master’s Degree in the Faculty of Philosophy, Psychology, Science, and Letters program of the Sao Paulo University. Luiz Carlos Trabuco began his career as early as age 18, when he started as a caixeiro at the Bradesco Bank.

Mr. Trabuco apparently found his life’s career calling at the Banco Bradesco corporation because he rose to become its Executive Director, President, (2009) and the Board of Directors Vice Chairman, which is a position he has held since October 2017.

Mr. Trabuco held a considerable number of positions within the Bradesco corporation. He has been appointed titles within the company, it various divisions and departments within the banking institution that includes President of the Council of Representatives and Executive Board of the National Confederation of Financial Institutions and CEO of Marketing, Council Member. He has also served as an Investor Relations Office, a key member of the bank’s Geneva Switzerland Honorable Council and a top member of Brazil’s Forum under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry, Development, and Foreign Trade.


As the aegis of Banco Bradesco, he not only increased the company’s assets and equity, but he has also help make it the second largest equity banking entity in Latin America and is the second largest asset private bank in Brazil. When Mr. Trabuco became President of Bradesco Bank, he knew what would help the bank grow because he had been such an integral part of its rise. In a corporate meeting, he met with the executives of each department to make sure that everyone was on the same page regarding the future of the corporation. Luiz Carlos is commended for his forward thinking corporate ideas, innovative business practices, and his insightful business acuity. He continues to be lauded for his forward thinking and business acumen.

With Luiz Carlos’ esteem corporate highlights, it is no surprise that he was in talks to replace the Chairman of the Board, Lazaro de Mello Brandao when he retires soon. Lazaro Brandao is the world’s oldest serving bank chairman, who at age 91 is stepping down after more than 25 years at Banco Bradesco. O Sr. Brandao submitted his resignation in October 2017. Mr. Trabuco was voted in to temporarily serve as both CEO and Board Chairman until a new CEO is elected in March 2018. However, this will change at the March shareholder’s meeting because Brazilian banks have a tradition which states that one person cannot work in both positions at the same time.

Mr. Trabuco in his exemplary career has received many awards like the 2009 Don Quixote Trophy, the 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year, and the 2016 Best CEO in Brazil by Forbes Magazine. As for the Bradesco Bank and the Brazilian economy, Luiz Carlos Trabuco states that both are showing great growth and stability. Mr. Trabuco is working diligently to have Brazil, the bank, and the insurance industry to play a key role in the continued success of his Pais.

A majority of the Insurance companies and other corporations in Brazil would love to have him run their companies, but he has turned down all their requests. His loyalty to his businesses and entrepreneurial endeavors have always given him a reputation among his peers as a trusting, hard-working, and loyal individual.
